Tattoo retraining course
Salon Tattoo Vetengl provides an accredited retraining course for tattooing in accordance with relevant legal standards based on § 108 of Act No. 435/2004 Coll. and Decree No. 176/2009 Coll. We hold accreditation granted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic for the profession of TATTOO ARTIST (69-34-M), enabling us to conduct tattoo courses and issue certificates attesting to the acquisition of professional qualifications for the work of a Tattoo Artist. This certificate corresponds to the level of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), which is crucial for obtaining a trade license for the operation of ‘Activities involving the integrity of human skin’ (Trade Licensing Act No. 455/1991 Coll. – Annex No. 2 – Regulated trades).
What will you learn with us?
At our institute, students will learn to apply decorative patterns to the client’s skin with a focus on their health. They will acquire knowledge in recognizing pathological skin conditions and theoretical foundations of dermatology and somatology. The course includes providing expert advisory services to clients in the field of skin integrity violation – tattooing, understanding the legislative requirements for conducting activities related to the violation of human skin integrity, and offering first aid to clients in body care.
Entry requirements
Achieving the age of 18. Certificate of medical fitness. Apprenticeship or retraining course in the field of beautician or an exam for the professional qualification of Beautician. The beautician course must be successfully completed before entering the tattoo retraining course.

The price of the tattoo course is 33.000,- CZK.
The total cost of the tattoo course is set at 33,000 CZK. A deposit of 5,000 CZK is required,
payable upon submitting the application for the course and is refundable until the second part of the course fee is paid. After the first week of the tattoo course, the second part of the payment, 28,000 CZK, is due, and this amount is non-refundable after payment.
The final exam is subject to a fee of 8,000 CZK per participant. For course participants, the final exam is included in the course fee.
The duration of the tattoo course is approximately 2.5 months (317 hours).
The teaching is conducted only in the Czech language. We also offer the option of a separate final exam for professional qualification without completing the tattoo course. This is subject to a fee of 8,000 CZK per participant, payable at the beginning upon submitting the application and is non-refundable. We also provide consultations to prepare you for the final exam. Consultations are charged at 1,500 CZK per hour, and each started hour is billed. The total time to obtain the certificate is approximately 14 days.
Approximate dates of retraining courses during 2024
Roughly 2 weeks before the start of the course, there will be an informational meeting where you will receive more details about the tattoo course and take care of necessary formalities.
After completing the retraining course in tattooing, the graduate will acquire professional knowledge in performing tattoos, basic hygiene practices, fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology, and dermatology. They will gain the necessary knowledge for customer communication and basics of legislation.
Upon passing the state exam, the graduate will receive a nationally recognized certificate for the trade of skin integrity violation. After successfully completing the professional exam, you will obtain a CERTIFICATE OF PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION.
